This week has been a rough one. If it was not one
thing, it was another. This weekend did not change much. I would have thought
that since it is my birthday that my children would be better for me this week
end. How wrong I was. But I found a little bit of sanctuary at my neighbor’s
home. Thank God for good neighbors and I have to admit, I have one real great wonderful
neighbor. We laughed, we talked, and we watched the old show dick van dyke show.
Now that was a hoot. I could not ask God
for anything better. It was just what I needed one such a depressing and
problematic week. That was my birthday gift to myself, a couple of hours away
from my hectic house.
“A friend should be one in
whose understanding and virtue we can equally confide, and whose opinion we can
value at once for its justness and its sincerity.”
